The Beachcomber’s Retreat is a tastefully adorned studio cottage that has been professionally designed.  Most of the furniture has been custom-made to fit the space perfectly, and include a small dining table for two, a desk with chair, loveseat, and a luxurious queen-sized bed adorned with the highest quality bedding and linens. The Cottage is equipped with flat-panel TV with premium cable channels, stereo system with iPOD dock, WiFI, fully equipped kitchenette area – fully equipped for preparing a meal. The Beachcomber’s Retreat features a warm outdoor shower, large private patio area with seating for four persons, BBQ, private laundry facilities and off-street parking, and best yet – the south end of popular Twin Lakes Beach is just a 50-yard short, flat walk down the street. From this particular location in Santa Cruz , a multitude of dining options, biking and walking, paddling and surfing, and shopping opportunities are at your fingertips.

The Santa Cruz Small Craft Yacht Harbor is about a ten minute walk, where you can reserve a fire-pit a night and have a roaring bonfire. Just steps away from the house, you may choose to rent a kayak or paddleboard at the Kayak Connection. Stop in for dinner at the Star Bene, just up the street – for excellent, authentic Italian and Argentine cuisine and delightful service.

Every Sunday morning there is a wonderful Farmer’s Market taking place in the parking lot of the East Coast Shopping Village – easily walking distance from the Cottage.  The Beachcomber’s Retreat is a pleasant 3 1/2 mile ride to neighboring Capitola , a 45 minute drive to the Monterey Peninsula, and 45 minutes from San Jose and the greater Bay Area.
