Blackpoint Cottage is just a short 3/10th of a miles walk to the local beach spot called "Sunny Cove". This particular beach is very well wind protected - which makes it a favorite among sunbathers and families for its' gentle lapping waves, warmer temperatures, and its' seclusion. Blackpoint Cottage is actually a 1300 square foot house, with two master suites, an enclosed yard with hot tub, and a very spacious upper deck with covered patio seating for 8 persons - and even offers a peak of an ocean view! This home sleeps 6 comfortably, has a two car garage with plenty of additional off-street parking, and is situated about 50 yards or so off of a very quiet (dead-end) street, offering quiet privacy and creek-side tranquility. However, Blackpoint Cottage’s location is one of the most central in all of Santa Cruz! Located about ½ way between the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor and the popular area of Pleasure Point – you can stroll up to East Cliff and easily access either area by foot or bicycle. You may choose to spend foggy evenings in front of the roaring brick fireplace, wash the sand off at the end of the day in the outdoor shower before a long soak in the hot tub under the stars, or perhaps walk just up the street to delicious family-style Italian food at Star Bene! There is even a completely fenced yard for your dog (and kids). Keep in touch with the office using the wireless high speed internet connection and enjoy the upgraded cable TV with HBO. Walk up to the Windmill Coffee House for fresh coffee and pastries in the morning, before spending the day on sea kayaks available at the nearby Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor. At sunset, enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine on the deck facing the Bay, and afterwards - you may want to walk to the nearby Aloha Island Grill - a local's favorite, for inexpensive Hawaiian beach fare. A weekly Farmer’s Market is held on Sunday mornings in the parking lot of the East Cliff Shopping Center – a mere 200 yards from the Cottage!
